The Washtenaw County Commission will be holding 2 public hearings shortly for the purpose of gathering public input on whether the Commission should take over control of the County Road Commission. The law allowing this is scheduled to sunset on Dec. 31st, so the Commission is forced to decide if they will take over the Road Commission, leave the Road Commission as is, change to an elected Road Commission, or change the number of Commissioners. The public hearings will be October 23rd and November 6th at 6:45pm at 220 N. Main Street in the Commission Board room. Don't be late.

It is my opinion that any changes in the Road Commission will not improve services for the majority of our Republican constituency.
Regardless of your opinion, please get informed on the issue, and exercise your rights as citizens in this County to voice your opinion to the County Commission at these hearings.
