ANNUAL MILAN MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
Prior to the cemetery, the American Flag is lowered to half mass at 0800 at the Post, then at noon it is raised back to full staff.
The Annual Milan Memorial Day Parade then begins in Marble Park Cemetery at 9 a.m. with dignitaries giving honor to where honor is due. A stirring of the soul happens at the sound of taps and a 21-gun salute. Mr. Ken Baumann will also fire the historic cannon. The Parade will march East on Main St. and turn right on Wabash to the Veterans Wall of Honor where the service continues with a short program to include a wreath on Ford Lake Symbolizing those lost at sea. A big thank you to the American Legion Post 268 for organizing the annual event. The public is invited to the Legion following for free hot dogs
